Day 1: Cochin
On arrival at Cochin Airport meet our tour representative who will escort you to the hotel. Cochin is situated on the south-west coast of Indian Peninsula . It is known as the queen of the Arabian Sea and the Gateway to Kerala.Later on move out for the local tour. Visit the Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace , St:Francis Church, Chinese fishing nets and Bolgatty Palace . Later in the evening return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Cochin - Munnar
Morning after breakfast drive towards Munnar - the gateway to the hills. It is one of the famous hill stations in Kerala. It was once the favored summer resort of the erstwhile British rulers. Unending expanse of tea plantations - pristine valleys and mountains- exotic species of flora and fauna in its wild sanctuaries and forests - aroma of spice scented cool air welcomes the tourist. On reaching Munnar check in hotel and relax for the rest of the day at the hotel.
Day 3: Munnar
Morning after breakfast drive out for the local tour. Visit Anaimudi Peak - the highest peak ,Devikulam, Mettupatti Dam and Farm, Nyayamakad, Echo Point, Rajamala, Kundala,T Power House Waterfalls, Malankara Reservoir and so on. Late in the evening return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Munnar -Thekaddy
Morning after breakfast enjoy the drive to Thekkady (Periyar)- India's most fascinating natural wildlife sanctuary. The very sound ofthe name conjures up images of elephants, unending chains of hill and spice scented plantations. One can experience the most enchanting holiday in the crisp, cool air of the Western Ghats. On reaching Thekkady check in hotel and later move out for the local tour. Visit The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, Periyar Lake, Kumily, Mangala Devi Temple, Vandiperiyar and so on. Later in the evening return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Thekaddy - Kumarakom
Morning after breakfast drive to Kumarakom a place best known for the honeymooners. It is a cluster of little islands on the Vembanad Lake. The lush green vegetation and the climate attracts a number of tourist to this place. On reaching Kumarakom check in the backwater resort and later on move out for the local tour. Visit the Kumarakom bird sanctuary, house boat jetty and others.
Later in the evening return back to the hotel for an overnights stay.
Day 6: Kumarakom - Alleppey
Morning after breakfast check into the deluxe houseboat to enjoy the 24 hours of backwater cruise from Kumarakom to Alleppey. This journey is considered to be one of the best attractions. The house boat is fully furnished with single and double bedrooms, sundeck, private balcony and a kitchen.
It also comprises a chef, driver & cabin assistant. The materials that go into the making are all local and Eco friendly bamboo poles, coconut fiber ropes, bamboo mats, coir carpets etc. The main wood used is "Anjili". Spend a night at the house boat.
Day 7: Alleppey
Morning after breakfast check out of the houseboat, as you would have reached Alleppey by then. Alleppey which is also known as Alappuzha. Its beauty is not merely in the backwaters, but also in the man-made islands that you will find amidst the waters. On reaching Alleppey board a cab to be transferred to the resort. Relax for sometime and later move out for the local tour of Alleppey, visit Alleppey Beach, Kuttanad - the rice bowl of Kerala, and so on. Later in the evening check into the resort for an overnight stay at Alleppey.
Day 8 : Alleppey - Kovalam
Morning after breakfast drive to Kovalam which is considered as the Paradise of the South. It is tiny beach which is one of the major tourist attractions. It is a picture perfect tropical beach. Kovalam means a grove of coconut trees and it is true to its name, one can get an endless sight of the coconut groves. On reaching Kovalam check in at the beach resort and spend the rest of the day at leisure
Day 9 : Kovalam
Morning after breakfast drive out for the local tour and visit the important places like Padmanabhapuram Palace, Kaudiar Palace, Napier Museum, Sankhumugham Beach, Varkala Beach and others. Later on return back to the resort for an overnight stay.
Day 10: Kovalam - Kanyakumari
Morning after breakfast drive to Kanyakumari which was earlier known as Cape Comorin by the British. It is located at the southern tip of the Indian Sub-continent. Kanyakumari is named after the Goddess Kanyakumari Amman .On reaching Kanyakumari check in hotel and later on visit the interesting places like Kumari Amman Temple , Kalakkadu Wildlife sanctuary, Kalakkadu Wildlife sanctuary and so on. Later in the evening return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 11 : Kanyakumari - Rameshwaram
Morning after breakfast drive to Rameshwaram which is one of the holiest places in India . It is situated in the Gulf of Mannar at the very tip of the Indian peninsula. It is the place where Lord Rama had built a bridge across the sea to rescue his Sita and also a place where Rama worshipped Lord Shiva to cleanse away the sin of Ravana. On reaching Rameshwaram check in hotel and later on move out for the local tour. Visit Dhanushkodi, Kothandaramaswami temple, Ramanathaswami temple, Kurusadai islands and so on. Later in the evening return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 12 : Rameshwaram - Madurai
Morning after breakfast drive to Madurai – The temple town of South India . Madurai was earlier the capital city of the Pandya kings of South India. On reaching Madurai check in hotel and later move out for the local tour. Visit Sri Meenakshi Temple , Thirumalai Nayak Palace, Thirupparankundram Temple, Alagar Koil, Gandhi Museum and so on. Later in the evening return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 13 : Madurai - Tanjore
Morning after breakfast drive to Tanjore – “The rice bowl of Tamil Nadu”. This city lies on the south bank of the Kaveri River . It is famous for the Brahadeeshwara Temple which was constructed more than thousands of years ago by the Chola emperor. On reaching Tanjore check in hotel and later on visit the tourist attractive places like Sri Brihadeeswarar Temple , The Palace, Royal Museum and so on. Later in the evening return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 14 : Tanjore - Trichy
Morning after breakfast drive to Trichy also known as Tirchirappalli is known as the city of Rock Fort and Temples. Trichy is a fine blend of tradition and modernity built around the rock fort. On reaching Trichy check in hotel and later move for the local tour.
Visit Ranganathaswamy Temple , Sri Jambukeswara Temple , Rock Fort Temple , Viralimalai Sanctuary and so on. Later in the evening return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 15: Trichy - Pondicherry
Morning after breakfast drive to Pondicherry which was a former French colony is now a Union territory. It is also known as the French Riviera of the East. The world famous Sri Aurobindo Ashram is situated here. On reaching Pondicherry check in hotel and later move out for the local tour to visit Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry Museum and Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and so on. Later in the evening return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 16 : Pondicherry - Mahabalipuram
Mornings after breakfast drive to Mahabalipuram also known as Mamallapuram which has various historic monuments. It is known for the rock cut and monolithic Dravidian Architecture. On reaching Mahabalipuram check in hotel and later move out for the local tour to visit " Orchid Gardens ", Shore Temple , Five Rathas, Arjuna's Penance, Krishna Mandapam and so on. Later in the evening return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 17: Mahabalipuram - Kanchipuram - Chennai
Morning after breakfast drive to Chennai and on the way visit the interesting places in Kanchipuram - it is one of the seven sacred cities in India . Visit Kamakshi Amman Temple , Ekambareswararwar Temple , Kailasanathar Temple and also shop for the silk sarees as Kanchipuram is known for it. Later on drive to Chennai - formerly known as Madras is the capital of Tamil Nadu. It is located on the Coramonadal Coast of Bay of Bengal. It is known for its cultural heritage and temple architecture. Check in hotel and later move out for the local tour. Visit Parthsarthy Temple , Kapaleeshwar Temple , Fort St. George, Marina Beach, National Art Gallery and so on. Later in the evening return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 18: Chennai
Morning after breakfast drive to Chennai Airport to board your flight to the onwards destination.
